Die manufacturing for ENERGY sector
At Precision Die Systems, we specialize in creating slot die coating systems that are capable of simultaneous dual-sided anode and cathode coatings, perovskites, intermittent registered coatings, and lane coating for lithium-ion batteries and other energy technologies.
It's important understand the rheological variation in slurries to develop the proper fluid coating systems.

How Extrusion and Slot Dies Work in Renewable Energy Production
In renewable energy manufacturing, extrusion dies and slot dies are used to create clean, flat materials for solar panels and advanced batteries. The process works by feeding raw fluids or melted materials into a sealed metal chamber inside the die.

The die uses extreme pressure to push this material through a perfectly machined, microscopic gap. This places a completely smooth, flawless, and uniform layer of fluid directly onto a moving roll of film or foil.

For lithium-ion, solid-state, and next-generation battery manufacturing, this precise coating process is critical. It ensures that the chemical layers inside the battery cells have the exact same thickness across the entire roll. Even a tiny variation in thickness can ruin a battery's power storage. Our high-precision dies eliminate these defects to keep energy production lines running perfectly.
